Congratulations to all players who represented Varsity at this years State Cup, held in Port Macquarie. Both the mens and womens team fought hard and finished up with some pleasing results.

After finishing equal 1st in their pool, the mens team went into the quarterfinals full of confidence. The boys continued their winning streak, defeating Easts 4-2 to proceed to the semi-finals. Unfortunately Wests came out on top, and the boys were defeated 6-2 and missed out on a spot in the final.

The womens team finished equal 2nd in their pool after only losing one game. The girls came up against Penrith in their quarterfinals match. Unfortunately the girls went down 3-1, ending their State Cup for 2008.

Congratulations to both the mens and womens teams who should be extremely proud of their efforts.
